LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—Beach activities and adventures that offer the “distinctly Pangasinan summer experience” are the latest addition to the assorted events of Pistay Dayat 2017 celebration, apart from its highly anticipated traditional events.

Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Malu Elduayan revealed the beach events and adventures, which are either community-led or sponsored, are expected to draw large crowds of Pistay Dayat revelers from various parts of Pangasinan, nearby provinces, and even tourists from various countries.

“By having these events all set at the Capitol beachfront—aside from traditional Pistay Dayat events like the Limgas na Pangasinan and the Banca Parada, the Province presents a different glitter and taste in this year’s Sea Festival,” Elduayan said.

Sure crowd-drawing events by giant television networks in the country are Pistay Dayat Summer Saya with Kapamilya stars on the eve of April 29 and GMA 7’s Kapuso Night on May 1.

Starting Saturday (April 22), the public is invited to take part in the “Liket tan Gayaga ed Aplaya,” featuring Insiong Tamayo and local DJs, which starts at 8 p.m.
