THIS early, the Makati City government has already achieved 61 percent of its 2025 revenue target of P19.33 billion, with total collections reaching P11.77 billion as of January 31, 2025.
Mayor Abigail Binay said there was an eight percent increase in business tax collections compared to January of the previous year, rising from P6.47 billion to P6.99 billion.
Business taxes continued to be the largest local source of revenue for the city, logging 62 percent of target as of January.
“We are off to an excellent start this year, and we owe this largely to our business community, which has shown steadfast support and confidence in the city government throughout my term as Mayor of Makati,” Binay said.
