Morong officials boost public service delivery, bring gov’t closer to people

THE local government of Morong, Bataan has intensified its service delivery efforts while at the same time bringing the government closer to the people.

Morong Mayor Cynthia Linao-Estanislao and Vice Mayor Leila Linao Munoz  have been personally reaching out to their constituents to feel public pulse and know the people’s economic and social conditions first hand.

The two local leaders said their visits to the hinterlands strengthened ties with the barangays and the village officials.

Estanislao also said they were installing solar lights in the main thoroughfares of their town.

She said the street lighting project was a boost to local tourism, adding that they expect more visitors during the forthcoming summer.

She reported that the Morong government has its own 1,117 college scholars who receive P5,000 subsidy each.

She also disclosed that needy farmers were given four bags each of fertilizer per hectare while the fishermen received P1,000-cash assistance before Christmas, with all the funds coming from the municipal coffers.

In the past, tricycle owners and drivers members were also given financial assistance.

The lady mayor also said they are set to resume the dental and medical mission which they are regularly conducting in their municipality.

Estanislao also announced that the Morong cemetery has already been constructed.
