At least 1,000 poor families in Caloocan City received fish packs distributed by the Tingog party-list group on Friday.
The distribution of the fish packs in Bagumbong district was done through the office of Speaker Martin Romualdez and Caloocan Rep. Vince Hernandez.
Dubbed “Tingog ISDA best,” the program aims to provide immediate food assistance to needy families in Metro Manila.
Tingog Reps. Yedda K. Romualdez and Jude A. Acidre embarked on the program to give emergency food relief to underprivileged communities, allowing them to meet their basic needs for the day as well as promoting health consciousness.
Also present during the program was comedy star Giselle Sanchez who led the Zumba dance session before the fish distribution.
The recipients thanked the nominees of Tingog for their initiative.
“Maraming salamat Tingog party-list (group), malaking tulong na po ito sa amin. Sana’y patuloy lang po kayo sa mga programa ninyo para sa amin,” one of the residents said.
