The City Government of Caloocan, led by Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, recognized its exceptional constituents on Thursday, February 16, during the Outstanding Citizen Awards Night held at Caloocan City Sports Complex.
The said event is aligned with the celebration of Caloocan City’s 61st Cityhood Anniversary and the said award is bestowed to remarkable local government employees, taxpayers, students and citizens to recognize their invaluable contribution in key areas of peace and order, community work, and good governance, among others.
Mayor Along commended the awardees and likewise encouraged all residents to emulate their example towards a more progressive city.
“Congratulations po sa lahat ng natatanging kawani at mamamayan sa Lungsod ng Caloocan na pinarangalan natin sa Outstanding Citizen Awards Night kahapon,” he said.
“Tulad po ng ating sinabi sa ating maikling mensahe, malaking bahagi po kayo ng ating pag-unlad at pagkamit ng tuloy-tuloy na progreso sa lungsod. Magsilbi po sana kayong mabuting halimbawa para sa lahat ng mga Batang Kankaloo,” the Mayor added.
Among the distinguished awardees were Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual, Outstanding Public Servant; Dr. Susana Caseria, Outstanding Health Worker; Mr. Pacquito Calansingin, Outstanding Entrepreneur and Ms. Dahlia Barredo, Outstanding Community Worker.
Also present during the said event were District 1 Representative Oca Malapitan, District 3 Representative Dean Asistio, Vice Mayor Karina Teh, and Caloocan City Councilors.
