Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the ceremonial turn over of the high-density housing project at Gloria Ville, Barangay 178 on Friday, September 23.
He is joined by Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) President Federico Laxa and District 1 Congressman Oca Malapitan.
According to the Housing and Resettlement Office (HARO), the beneficiaries were rescued from living in high-risk areas such as creeks and riverbeds.
In a short speech, the Mayor welcomed them and urged everyone to foster a good community.
“Batid ko po na ang ilan sa mga benepisyaryo’y mula pa sa ibang lungsod, welcome po kayo sa Caloocan. Bilang inyong alkalde, titiyakin ko aalagaan namin kayo,” he said.
“Mahalaga rin na makakasundo natin ang ating mga kapit-bahay, makiisa tayo sa mga programa para sa ikagaganda pa lalo ng inyong komunidad,” the Mayor added.
In line with this, SHFC President Laxa expressed his intention to amplify efforts on local housing, emphasizing good partnership with the Caloocan local government unit.
