The Caloocan City Government is scheduled to honor today 17 outstanding frontliners for this year, in conjunction with the city’s Frontliners’ Day celebration, officials said Sunday.

Mayor Oscar Malapitan, and author of the Frontliners Day ordinance Councilor Vince Hernandez, will lead the celebration.

The 17 frontliners who demonstrated their invaluable service and sacrifice include doctors, police, firefighters, emergency responders, security guards, vaccination personnel, swabbing personnel, tricycle drivers, and media practitioners.

Some organizations that have shown support to the City Government in the midst of the ongoing fight against the pandemic will also be honored.

Hernandez, also president of the city’s Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, said the Caloocan Frontliners’ Day held every March 15 symbolized tribute for the heroism of the frontliners.
