Caloocan imposes ‘no vax, no entry’

Caloocan City is strictly enforcing a “No Proof of Vaccination, No Entry” policy is in public places and establishments in the city.

This is in accordance with the city’s Ordinance No. 0959 Series of 2022.         

According to Mayor Oscar Malapitan, the Caloocan City Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (DPSTM) personnel are now conducting a random inspection to ensure that the ordinance is being implemented.

At the entrance of the every establishments, the vaccination cards of each person entering will be checked as well as their body temperatures. They will also be asked to fill out the health declaration form, and show their StaySafe.ph QR code for scanning.

According to the mayor, the purpose of the ordinance is to limit the itineration of unvaccinated citizens under Alert Level 3 or higher quarantine status unless essential. Jun David

In this way, unvaccinated people who have a high chance of developing severe symptoms, which can lead to hospitalization or death, can be prevented from getting COVID-19.

The city government also reminded citizens to always carry their vaccination cards whenever they leave thier homes or when entering public or private establishments in the city.

Citizens are also encouraged to get vaccinated for protection against the disease.
