Cotabato City—The Bangsamoro government has boosted its security preparedness and disaster response capability with new service and emergency vehicles.

Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, together with BARMM Interior Minister Naguib Sinarimbo inspected five fire trucks, five police cars, and four units of ambulance vehicles.

Some of these vehicles will also be given to local government units in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Sinarimbo said ambulances will be given to Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidents (READi) and to the Tawi-Tawi provincial LGU.

Police cars will back up municipal police stations or provincial police offices on recommendation of the BARMM Regional Police Office.

Emergency vehicles, Sinarimbo said, will strengthen the ministry’s preparedness and response program under the internal security services.

He said BARMM will implement more projects like municipal government centers and health facilities in Tawi-Tawi and Sulu.

“The MILG has a deployment agreement with the Bureau of Fire Protection on which priority LGUs will receive fire trucks,” he said.

“We continue to strengthen our emergency response capability while attending to the immediate need for relief assistance of our constituents in the Bangsamoro,” Sinarimbo added.
