Megawide, Gaisano

Engineering conglomerate Megawide and the Gaisano group topped off the Taft East Gate Phase I , a mixed-used, 43-storey building in Cebu City. Megawide used an automatic climbing systems for the project, which makes construction of time-consuming structural elements like the shear wall faster, more efficient. The edifice will also be built using the company’s precast.  “The technologies that Megawide applies to its construction projects have a huge impact not just on speeding up progress, but also delivering greater quality overall,” explained Eric Tan, Megawide’s deputy head of construction. Megawide is the private partner for infrastructure projects such as the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).  Shown here are representatives of Megawide and the Gaisano group as they wave at a drone camera during the topping-off ceremony.
