Well-centric building

Menarco Development Corporation’s Menarco tower recently unveiled its Well gold plaque from the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) Asia during ceremonies held at the 32nd street tower in BGC. The official certificate was handed over by IWBI Asia director of business development, Samantha Allen, to Menarco founder and CEO, Carmen Jimenez-Ong.  The Well building standard is a global tool that measures the health and well-being of buildings and its occupants. It also certifies buildings according to verified financial outcomes of building tenants, as a result of their respective employees’ productivity.  “It makes good business sense to invest on the welfare of occupants in an office building,” said Jimenez-Ong. Some of Menarco tower’s notable Well-centric features and facilities include filtered air circulation, ambient music and natural light in fire staircases, healthy food choices in the food hall, and drinkable tap water. Menarco tower is also certified LEED Gold, and was recognized as best green development at the Philippine property awards in 2016.
