Like a jaunt across Europe

Visiting the soon-to-open Acienda Designer Outlet (ADO) Mall in Silang, Cavite, is expected to feel like a sally across Europe. The 20-hectare complex is inspired by picturesque destinations abroad.  Imagine walking the grand staircase of ADO’s Italian section, where an open area welcomes guests like the spanish steps of the Eternal City of Rome. The steps were inspired by the steep slope connecting Rome’s Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, with the Trinità dei Monti church at the top. Then there’s the architecture of the whole mall, a romantic facade that reminds Europe regulars of the structures in Lombard, France. ADO has four architectural themes – French, Spanish, Italian and New England — to create the feeling of being in a European countryside. At the center is a food and beverage area accentuated with a statuesque windmill. ADO is a P2.5-billion shopping hub that’s dedicated to bringing a year-round sale of designer finds in fashion, sports, and homewares, courtesy of Cathay Land’s partnership with Freeport Retail from London.
