Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, recently announced the BERDE-district 5-star certification of its LIMA Estate in Batangas—the 1st industrial estate in the country to receive the accreditation.

AIC participated in a pilot program in partnership with the Philippine Green Building Council (PhilGBC) to secure the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE)—district 5-star certification of LIMA, as part of AIC’s push to attract more investments from both local and foreign investors.

“This accomplishment validates that the sustainability programs at our Economic Estates are at par with a global standard,” said LIMA Land, Inc. President and AIC Economic Estates Head Rafael Fernandez de Mesa.

AIC is also applying for the BERDE Building Certification of the LIMA Tower One, the first of seven multi-storey office buildings to be built at LIMA’s Central Business District, slated for completion in 2024.
