Elevator/escalator builder KONE recently pledged to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to reach carbon neutral operations by 2030.
In its latest Sustainability Report, KONE shared its commitment to a 50% cut in the emission from its operations and a 40% reduction in its products’ materials and lifetime energy use compared to 2018.
The Finland-based company provides elevators, escalators, and automatic building doors, as well as solutions for modernization and maintenance to add value to buildings throughout their life cycle.
