Bantayan power dispute

A new electric generator is taking shape on Bantayan Island off northern mainland Cebu amid issues raised over the bidding process. Isla North Energy Corp. started building the 15-megawatt power plant while still steeped in legal cases arising from the controversial bidding of the project, resulting in a protracted delay of approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
