Disservice to public

Members of the Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines Inc. and  transport group-leaders gather at the Casino Español in Manila to call for the thorough review of Senate Bill 2094 that seeks to amend the 85-year old Public Service  Act, a move that they say will open the country’s trucking and transport sector to foreign- owned and controlled corporations that will lead to the displacement of small and medium Filipino-owned businesses as well as the loss of jobs to local employees.
