KAGITINGAN. Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Director Arturo Ortiz (utmost left) speaks before the CDC members of the Board and management as he receives the award of recognition from the state-owned firm. Ortiz was recognized “for bringing pride and honor to the country with the story of bravery and gallantry of the Special Forces he has led in a fierce firefight against insurgents as depicted in the movie Kagitingan: A True Story of Valor.” The movie was internationally acknowledged after it received two awards — Best Screenplay and IFFM Most Popular Awards– at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2020 in New York.
