Makati Mayor Abby Binay confers with National Capital Region Police Office chief Major General Debold Sinas during the turnover of several assault rifles and modern protective gear donated by the city government to the local police force. The mayor personally distributed the new firearms to the officers of the Makati Police Department in the ceremony held earlier Tuesday at the Central Police Station. She underscored the importance of upgrading the crime-fighting capability of the local police force to maintain peace and order during the pandemic, and promote the rapid recovery of the city’s economy.
