Senator Lito Lapid (center) consults with some of his constituents from Pampanga ahead of a meeting of the Senate Committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies on Thursday. Lapid says he is filing a bill seeking to provide a legal framework to establish asset management companies that want to acquire or invest in nonperforming assets of banks and other financial institutions.
