Old and new

Traditional jeepney drivers wait for aid from passersby as they stand on the side of the road and watch the new electronic ‘jeeps’ or mini-buses ply their old routes on Wednesday. Still, the government has opened up 17 routes for traditional jeepneys to serve commuters, including the P. Faura-Sta. Ana line in Manila (below).
