Gawad UP Oblation

University of the Philippines president Danilo Concepcion (center) bestows the Gawad UP Oblation medal to Metro Pacific Investments Corp. chairman Manuel Pangilinan, represented by director for government and public affairs Atty. Mike Toledo (right), in ceremonies held at the Diliman campus in Quezon City. Also on stage is Dr. Elena Pernia, UP vice-president for public affairs. The medal is bestowed upon individuals who have increased the institutional visibility, international prestige and recognition of UP and helped it undertake its mandate as a national university. The award is considered as UP’s highest recognition to benefactors and supporters who have rendered extraordinary service to the premier university.
