Fed up with the dominance of popularity-based, song-and-dance election campaign culture peddled by politicians seeking power over public service, many civil society organizations have been making efforts to prioritize the surfacing of issues most pressing to citizens for this year’s election campaign period. The goal is to put the spotlight on citizens and their needs, rather than on personality politics.
