Flood control project

House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo leads the groundbreaking ceremony of the Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation project in Minalin, Pampanga, which would address flooding in the low-lying areas of the province. Aided by the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund, it will increase the waterways capacity of the Pampanga River to mitigate flooding and improve lives in the province. Also present during the event were Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Han Dong-man, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar, Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda, Pampanga 4th District Rep. Rimpy Bondoc, and other officials.
