Beach Volley Champs

The Tanduay Athletics’ Inter-School Under-18 Beach Volleyball Championships concluded at the Cantada Sports Center in Taguig City, with the National University and Rizal Technological University claiming the boys’ and girls’ titles against University of the East and Calayan Educational Foundation of Lucena, respectively. Around 30 teams—18 in boys and 12 in girls —participated in the one-day tournament as part of the grassroots development program of the Philippine Volleyball Federation headed by its president Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada. The event is supported by Tanduay Athletics, Lucio ‘Bong’ Tan Jr. and PVF Chairman Mikey Arroyo (inset).
