Members of the LGBTQI community and other human rights organizations pushed for the passage of the Anti-Discrimination Bill or SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Indentity Expression) to mark UP Pride 2020 in Diliman, Quezon City yesterday. The SOGIE bill was still pending in Congress since its initial filing two decades ago. In September last year, President Rodrigo Duterte said he would certify as urgent the SOGIE bill but the Palace clarified the chief executive was referring to an anti-discrimination measure for a “broader audience.” Roel Hoang Manipon
