Cockfight ban lifted

The government’s COVID-19 task force has lifted the ban on cockfighting but this will only apply to areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) or lower classifications where quarantine controls are less restrictive. In a resolution it approved on Thursday, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) said licensed cockpits and the conduct of cockfighting activities must follow health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
