Going home

Personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Assist overseas Filipino workers heading home to their respective provinces during a send-off at the departure area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on Tuesday. President Rodrigo Duterte earlier ordered that the 24,000 OFWs stuck in quarantine centers in Metro Manila and already tested negative for Covid-19 be sent home within one week.

Hundreds of these OFWs bound for Cebu and Cagayan de Oro as they embark at M/V St. Francis Xavier after clearing their quarantine requirements, before sailing from Port Area, Manila on 27 May 2020 as part of the government's 'Balik Probinsya Program'.
