Trading centers

As vegetables and other farm produce are left wasted amid the coronavirus lockdown, the private sector urges the government to put up emergency trading centers to ensure continuous supply of healthy food. Philippine Chamber of Agriculture and Food president Danilo Fausto (second row, fourth from left) says emergency trading centers in barangays and subdivisions nearest to consumers will give people access to the food they need while the enhanced community quarantine is in effect. With Fausto is Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar (fifth from left) and other industry leaders in the agriculture sector.
