'Tanod' training

Being first responders, barangay tanods (police and safety officers) need to be trained on the different processes and means of conducting surveillance and keeping watch for criminal activity and responding to calamities and emergencies. Senator Cynthia Villar (standing, fifth from left) recognizes this need and recently directed the Villar Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance (Villar SIPAG), in partnership with the Las Piñas City police, to stage a crime prevention skills enhancement training for tanods.
