Uncertain times

Residents of Barangay Ucab and adjacent barangays Ampucao, Tuding, Virac, Loacan, Poblacion, Gumatdang face uncertainty after the Mines and Geosciences Bureau declared their areas as geo-hazard zones and were asked to evacuate or avail the government’s  Balik-Probinsya program after massive landslides brought by Typhoon ‘Ompong’ claimed scores of lives in the area, where residents engage in small-scale mining.
