Meister’s GinFest: Quenching summer’s thirst with a kick

Warm rays, extreme weather and intense sweat – these form the typical summer setting.

In a country situated along the equator’s lines, Filipinos are now finding their own ways to cool down before the rainy season arrives in June.

Fortunately, a night was set to quench one’s growing thirst around the green landscape within Los Baños, Laguna.

Quench your thirst with a gin tonic amid the oppressive summer heat.

Meister’s Uncorked, situated near the vast UP Los Baños campus, recently held its annual GinFest on April 8. The event featured the best of its signature Gin Tonic – a mixture of gin and tonic water served with its load of ice and garnish. Combined with its complimentary meal and house music, its celebration provided guests a treat for the summer.

From 10 well known gin brands from the world-over, the GinFest organizers gave each guest the freedom to enjoy and savor up to five of their preferences. One, however, was given the liberty to curate their poison of choice and garnish – choosing between lemon, orange or cucumber slices, as well as a sprig of rosemary.

GinFest organizers believe that gin tonic is the best to consume for this season’s warm and extremely humid climate.

Meister’s GinFest on April 8 was just the start – its organizers are looking forward to holding more of what they could offer inside its small haven while summer lasts.
