The Department of Public Works and Highways said Friday it completed two major segments of Central Luzon Link Expressway Project Phase 1 leading to Cabanatuan City.
“Construction of 4.1-km Contract Package 1-Tarlac Section and 6.4-km CP 2-Rio Chico River Bridge section are now 100-percent finished,” Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said.
The completed sections form part of the 30-kilometer four-lane expressway project that will connect and improve access between the cities of Tarlac and Cabanatuan.
The project also involves the construction of a 300-meter temporary off an on-ramp to be used as exit in La Paz-Victoria Road. CP 2 includes the construction of the 1.5-km Rio Chico River viaduct, the 42-meter Sta. Lucia River Bridge and the 38-meter La Paz-Victoria underpass bridge.
The DPWH said the two remaining contract packages would be completed by April 2021.
