MPCALA Holdings Inc., a unit of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp., expects to open the first interchange of the Cavite segment of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX) by the first quarter of 2021.
“We’re almost 50 percent [complete] in terms of Cavite. The section five which is leading to Silang East will be opened first quarter next year,” Roberto Bontia, MPCALA president and general manager, said.
“We are working with the support of DPWH to complete it within the term of the current administration,” he added.
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar is confident the Silang East exit will be completed by end of the year or the first quarter of 2021.
“So hopefully we can finish the whole alignment and we’re targeting to finish the whole alignment by this administration and I think we’re well underway,” he added.
