AirAsia PH increases summer flights by 30%

AirAsia Philippines said Tuesday it raised flights frequency by 30 percent to accommodate the surge in bookings during the Holy Week and summer period.

“We recognize the significance of the Holy Week celebration for Filipinos. As our Catholic brothers and sisters observe this religious practice, we at AirAsia continue to offer a safe and attainable travel experience essential for those flying to their provinces this holiday season,” AirAsia Philippines head of communications and public affairs Steve Dailisan said.

“We commit not only to the highest health standards, but also to the highest security protocols especially now that all destinations in the country have relaxed interzonal travel regulations,” he said.

Top destinations such as Caticlan increased to 41x weekly from 34x in March; Iloilo also increased to 28x from 14x; Tacloban to 28x from 23x; Tagbilaran to 18x from 14x; Bacolod to 18x from 11x; Puerto Princesa to 10x from 9x; Davao to 14x from 11x; Cagayan to 11x from 9x; Kalibo to 18x from 11x; and Cebu to 26x from 21x weekly.
