GCash, the mobile wallet of Globe Telecom Inc., expanded its reach to overseas Filipino workers to enable them to directly pay bills and transfer cash instantly for free to their families in the Philippines.

“GCash continues to aim to make life easier and more convenient for Filipinos wherever they are,” said GCash chief customer officer Winsley Bangit.

“We recognize how many families in the Philippines rely on the remittances OFWs send them. With GCash, sending money and paying for household expenses is easier for everyone, anywhere in the world, with just a press of a button,” he said.

Filipino citizens abroad, with an active Philippines roaming mobile number can start by downloading the GCash app from the Play Store or App Store. Then, they will need to create an account and have it verified—needing only a valid Philippines ID and providing their address in the Philippines.
