State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) reinforced its commitment to sustainable development by showcasing its green initiatives and strengthening partnerships during the Building Green Conference 2025 from Sept. 24 to 26 at the Clark Marriott in Pampanga.
BCDA vice president for public affairs Leilani Macasaet cited the necessity of collective leadership in fast-tracking green infrastructure during the Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) event.
“We are especially elated that PHILGBC chose Clark as the host venue for this conference. Clark is a beacon of sustainability, setting the standard for green and future-ready developments in the country. We firmly believe that this is a prime example of what PHILGBC strives for,” Macasaet said in her keynote speech.
PHILGBC chairperson Raymond Rufino noted that Clark and the wider Central Luzon region present substantial opportunities for sustainable growth.
“As a priority investment area, the region still allows for master-planned districts and communities that can prioritize green building, low-carbon design, and nature-based solutions,” Rufino said.
He said hosting the conference in Clark can help “influence development and accelerate green building adoption in the region.”
BCDA’s head of technical services group Jules Aficial also highlighted the agency’s efforts to embed sustainability in infrastructure development across its properties.
The PHILGBC, an annual conference on best practices for climate change mitigation, champions environmentally responsible, safe and profitable built environments through collaboration and innovation.
