Taiwan’s I-Mei eyes faster FDA approval

Taipei,Taiwan—Taiwanese food manufacturer I-Mei Foods Co. Ltd. is seeking a faster approach to the approval system of the Food and Drug Authority for a number of products the company plans to bring in to the Philippines.

I-Mei Foods international business representative Emily Hsu said the Taiwanese manufacturer was pushing entry for at least two of its snack line category.

“We also want to promote other products to the Philippines but the process of application is very long. We have to get different kinds of permit before we can export,” she said at the sidelines of the 2019 Food Taipei 5-in-1 Mega Expo held in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1.
