Restaurant chain Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. opened its 50th Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar store as part of an aggressive store expansion for the full re-opening of the economy.
Shakey’s 50th Peri-Peri store is located in Matalino, Quezon City, a thriving residential area, and a well-known food hub in Metro Manila.
After acquiring the brand in 2019 with 23 stores in the Metro, Shakey’s has more than doubled the store network of Peri-Peri.
“We are delighted to open our 50th Peri-Peri Store. Even during this pandemic, the brand has demonstrated strong performance, and all the new stores have received very strong market acceptance,” Shakey’s president and chief executive Vicente Gregorio said in a disclosure to the stock exchange Monday.
To adapt to the changed consumer behaviour because of the pandemic, Peri-Peri’s store formats are especially designed to cater to off-premise dining while independent stores offer park and order options.
