The Keepers Holdings Inc. of tycoon Lucio Co is exploring acquisitions overseas to expand its portfolio across the alcoholic beverage industry.
Paulino Santamariam, president of The Keepers, said in an online investors briefing the strategic investments of acquisitions would give the company a “better hold and control of the supply and costs of its biggest category”.
“The value added of these strategic investments or acquisitions will be accretive and improve our bottom line,” Santamaria said.
The company, formerly Da Vinci Holdings Inc., is raising P4.5 billion from a follow-on offering slated this month.
It said up to 80 percent or P3.5 billion of the targeted proceeds would be used for strategic acquisition opportunities. The proceeds are expected to be disbursed over the next two years.
