Diversified telecommunications firm PT&T Corp. said Friday it appointed a new chairman as it expands its footprint nationwide and solidifies its digital transformation.
PT&T said the company appointed Roberto Ortiz as the chairman of the board, replacing Salvador Zamora II, who will “focus on personal endeavors outside the company.”
Prior to his appointment, Ortiz was an independent director of the company since 2018. Zamora will continue to serve as non-executive director of PT&T.
“On behalf of the board, and personally, I would like to thank Buddy for the contribution he has made to PT&T during his chairmanship. He has been an excellent cand has played a crucial role in the successful development of PT&T,” said director and chief executive James Velasquez.
“We are delighted to welcome Bob as the new chairman. As we aim to expand our footprint nationwide and solidify our digital transformation services, Bob’s entry as our new chair brings with him an outstanding record of value creation and wealth of experience to PT&T,” he said.
