DM Wenceslao chairman dies at 77

Delfin Wenceslao, the chairman of construction company and developer DM Wenceslao & Associates Inc., passed away Friday, the company said. He was 77 years old.    

“Ding or DJW was loved and respected for his passionate leadership, unyielding commitment to nation building and his advocacy to help the underprivileged have a better life. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, a great dad and a doting lolo to all his apo’s. We will terribly miss his love, counsel and support,” the Wenceslao family said in a statement.

“During this difficult time, we respectfully ask everyone to give the family time to reflect and celebrate in private his wonderful life. While we are humbled by your outpouring love and sympathy to our family, we cannot at this time, accommodate any visit due to the current guidelines/restrictions,” the statement said.

The Wenceslao family requested that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Katipunan ng mga Mamayan ng Bagong Filipinas Foundation Inc.

Wenceslao established DWM in April 1965. He was a former president of the Philippine Constructors Association, a board member of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Associations and a member of the Chamber of Real Estate & Builders Associations Inc.
