AllDay Marts Inc., the grocery chain of the Villar Group Villar that is set to conduct an initial public offering this year, plans to offer modern grocery shopping to customers as part of a strategy to uplift the local supermarket industry.

AllDay, which operates the AllDay Supermarket brand, said it would banner a global standard in the local supermarket industry by offering premium in-store journey and innovative consumer solutions to customers.

“AllDay has always been proud to hold itself to a global standard in our thrust to compete in the local supermarket landscape,” said Manuel Villar, chairman of AllValue Holdings Inc., the parent company of AllDay.

“We have always believed that the Filipino deserves to be able to access a global standard of grocery shopping experience, and we believe that by remaining committed to a higher standard, AllDay will continue to enrich this experience for each and every customer,” he added.

AllDay Supermarket has established itself as a leading player in the mid-premium supermarket segment. It has 33 stores located across 25 cities in the country to date.

Since its incorporation in 2016, AllDay said has elevated in-store customer experience through aesthetics, comfort, accessibility and convenience, and online integration.

The company has adapted digital innovation after being the first to introduce the self-checkout kiosks to improve health and safety protocols and allow customers to observe social distancing measures within the store.

The supermarket chain also launched a personal shopper service that allows customers to simply send their orders through dedicated hotlines for delivery direct to their homes. The company has an e-commerce platform to provide secure and fast online shopping experience to customers.

“AllDay will always remain focused on innovating to bring transformation to the local supermarket landscape,” said AllValue president Camille Villar.

“We recognize the importance of digital transformation, and this remains very high on our 2021 business priorities. We have already established an elevated in-store customer experience for the brand. Now, we want to ensure that the same cutting-edge experience translates to our online grocery shopping.”

The company recently introduced a “dark store” concept that functions as dedicated distribution outlets catering exclusively to online shoppers served by last-mile delivery providers.

AllDay said the model would expand its geographic coverage while keeping operating cost to a minimum.
