Liquor company Emperador Inc. said Thursday net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company rose 18 percent to a record P8 billion in 2020 on the back of strong international sales.
Emperador said in a disclosure to the stock exchange the 2020 revenues reached P52.6 billion, up 2 percent from P51.6 billion in 2019.
The world’s largest brandy company said global footprint and iconic brand portfolio enabled the company to navigate through the challenges of 2020.
“The resilience of the company shows the strength of our business coupled with the strength of our whisky and brandy portfolio across the globe resulting in stability and growth amid the challenges,” said Emperador president Winston Co.
“The company also took the opportunity to streamline efficiencies to enable the company to be nimble and effective in the markets. 2020 has set a new path and platform for our future growth,” Co said.
