Barrio Fiesta maker bullish on 2020 sales

Prime Global Corp., maker of the Barrio Fiesta brand, is taking on the “new normal” with optimism as it leverages the opportunities presented by the health crisis while keeping revenue prospects at P500 million in 2020, almost at the same level in 2019.

“Our goal this year is to further dominate the category in both domestic and international markets. And in the next three years, we aspire to be among the top local companies in the sauces, dressings, condiments and package foods categories,” said PGC president and chief operating officer Vincent Ace Villa-Real.

It said with new-found growth and patronage, especially from emerging home-based chefs, it was expecting stronger sales in the remaining months of 2020.

Adjusting to a changed food business landscape, Barrio Fiesta re-calibrated its sales approach, increasing its online presence as it continues to diversify its product portfolio, from its top-selling shrimp paste to new sauces, spreads, dry mixes and snacks.
