The Century Pacific Group Inc., one of the largest food manufacturers in the country, made its foray in the affordable and best-value real estate segment through real estate arm Pacifica Homes Development Corp.
PHDC formally launched its first property development in Magalang, Pampanga, led by president Teodoro Alexander Po. It began on a high note with the approval of its license to sell, coinciding with the launch of model units on Feb. 5.
Po said this is the company’s answer to the Philippine housing backlog, which is expected to hit 6.8 million units this year, according to data gathered from the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department.
“PHDC’s very first project here in Pampanga will not only help lessen the gap due to the huge housing backlog, but it would for sure set the bar in the affordable but superior value housing segment,” said Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Region 3 officer-in-charge Felix Brazil Jr.
