Yamamoto is new NEC Philippines chief

NEC Philippines announced the appointment of a new president effective April 1 this year.

Joji Yamamoto has been promoted to president from his prior appointment as deputy president of NECPH.

Yamamoto has amassed over 20 years of experience in Asia’s ICT industry since joining NEC Corp. in 1995. 

This includes his stint in NEC Corp.’s Carrier Sales Division from 1995 to 2006 and his role as vice president at NEC Thailand’s Carrier and Public Safety Division from 2013 to 2017.

“Mr. Yamamoto brings with him a wealth of experience in navigating Asia’s business climate. We are confident that NECPH will prosper under his stewardship and usher in an exciting future for all of us,” said NEC Asia Pacific chief executive Tetsuro Akagi.

Yamamoto said, he was honored to take on the new role and continue advancing NEC’s business in Philippines.

“Philippines have been taking massive steps in enhancing its digital capabilities and NEC’s portfolio of industry-leading ICT solutions are well placed to help Philippines thrive and overcome any challenges in its way,” he added.
