Dusit school set to develop hoteliers and restaurateurs

Dusit Hospitality Management College announced the opening of Bachelor of Science degree program in Hospitality Management which will begin its school year in August 2018.

Introduced in 2016, the Dusit Hospitality Management College brings together three of the most trusted names in international hospitality and culinary education—Dusit International, Switzerland’s world-renowned ÉcoleHôtelière de Lausanne, and France’s Institut Paul Bocuse—to offer students education and training aligned with the highest international standards.

At the heart of the School’s offerings are the Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management and the Professional Advancement Centre.

Professional advancement and culinary programs will be introduced in collaboration with the Institut Paul Bocuse in France which combines tradition and innovation using the art of French hospitality and cuisine. The combination of the expertise of these two iconic schools fused with Dusit’s world-class hospitality delivered with the iconic touches of Thailand’s artistry, promises to change the country’s hospitality education landscape and experience.

The four-year bachelor degree in hospitality management follows the standards of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education and is certified by ÉcoleHôtelière de Lausanne.

“Dusit Hospitality Management College was designed to develop globally competitive hoteliers.  Our partnerships with two of the acknowledged world leaders in hospitality management and culinary education, and the full integration of our college into a working hotel, gives our students what we like to refer to as more than an education,” the company said.

“We are the only hospitality management college in this part of the world that offers a fully integrated learning experience where culinary and hotel management modules studied in theory can be experienced on the job in actual hotel operations. In all areas of the hotel operations, students will be mentored by some of the industry’s best hoteliers and restaurateurs,” it said.

Housed in the first nine floors of the nearly-completed 27-floor dusitD2 Hotel The Fort Manila, the college and hotel will offer world-class hospitality education facilities including practical kitchens, restaurants, function rooms, recreational facilities including a swimming pool and fitness center, 125 guest rooms and 108 serviced residences.

Bringing the method of instruction into the digital age is a technology-enabled learning environment with all necessary material available.

The four-year BS Hospitality Management program, now open for enrollment, is certified by the world renowned ÉcoleHôtelière de Lausanne, the first hospitality management school in the world located in Switzerland.   Instruction will be handled by ‘EHL trained and certified’ local and international faculty.

DHMC also offers generous merit based scholarships at up to 50-percent of tuition for excellent students.
