United Airlines boosts Manila-Guam service

United Airlines on Thursday said it expanded its Manila-Guam service from five times weekly to daily in a bid to meet the growing demand from returning overseas Filipinos.

“This expanded service conveniently connects to United’s daily Guam-Honolulu flights at Guam International Airport for both ways, allowing passengers from the Philippines to travel to many cities in the US such as Denver, Los Angeles, and San Francisco via Guam and Honolulu,” the airline said in a statement.

It also conveniently connects to United’s daily Guam-Saipan service.

The additional flights will meet growing passenger demand as more Filipinos travel to return to the Philippines and visit friends and relatives abroad.

This also expands options for travelers to visit destinations such as Guam that are open for a vaccine tourism program that allows international visitors to receive a COVID-19 vaccine while enjoying a stay.

“United is always ready to add capacity whenever we see increased demand,” said United managing director of sales for Greater China Korea, and Southeast Asia Wally Dias.
