The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), through its subsidiary Legazpi Savings Bank (LSB) and BPI Foundation (BPIF), has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) to donate laptops for students nationwide. This initiative aims to support DepEd in improving digital learning and closing the technology gap.
The donation, consisting of 243 tablets and laptops, will be distributed to schools nationwide. This contribution is expected to enhance digital readiness and equip learners with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Spearheaded by LSB, the partnership is a collaboration with BPIF and Accent Micro Technologies, Inc. (AMTI), a technology solutions and systems provider. BPI LSB collaborates with the DepEd to assist teachers nationwide through capacity-building initiatives and financial solutions that focus on improving their overall well-being.
“We at LSB are honored to play a pivotal role in this partnership with DepEd. By providing the tools necessary for digital learning, we are not only helping students prepare for global standards but also supporting teachers in fostering an environment of excellence and innovation,” said Jerome Minglana, LSB President.
DepEd officials expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its role in achieving long-term educational goals.
