The Public Works Department is offering 10 major infrastructure projects to private investors under the public-private partnership program.

The PPP projects of the DPWH include Central Luzon Link Expressway; Quezon-Bicol Expressway; Davao-Digos Expressway; North Luzon Expressway East Phase II; Metro Cebu Expressway operation and management; Davao Bypass O&M; Mindoro-Batangas Super Bridge; Delpan-Pasig-Marikina Expressway; Batangas City-Bauan, Batangas Toll Road Project; and Pacific Eastern Seaboard Expressway.

“We already completed the feasibility study for the 220-kilometer Quezon-Bicol Expressway. The ICC requisite documents were submitted to Neda [National Economic and Development Authority] for review and approval,” Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said.

Villar said once completed, Quezon-Bicol Expressway would reduce the travel time between Tayabas, Quezon and San Fernando, Camarines Sur by two hours.

It will start in Pagbilao, Quezon and end at Maharlika Highway in San Fernando, Camarines Sur.

The agency is also building the P11.98-billion, four-lane extension of CLLEX Phase I that connects Cabanatuan City and San Jose City passing through the municipalities of Talavera and Llanera in Nueva Ecija.

The 35.70-km expressway will provide a free-flowing alternative route and decongest traffic along Pan-Philippine Highway between the cities of Nueva Ecija and the town of Plaridel in Bulacan province.

The department is also constructing the P28.1-billion Metro Cebu Expressway, a 73.75-km high-standard arterial road to meet Metro Cebu’s existing and future traffic demand.

The project will serve as another north-south backbone highway providing a seamless traffic flow from Naga City up to Danao City and traversing along the slopes of the mountain range of Cebu province. It is expected to significantly address the traffic congestion within Metro Cebu especially its urban core and the central business district.

Meanwhile, the P24.2-billion Davao City Bypass Construction Project has about 44.6 km, including the tunnel section which will start from Davao-Digos section of Pan-Philippine Highway in Toril, Davao City and will terminate at the intersection of Davao-Agusan National Highway in Panabo City.

The  Mindoro-Batangas Super Bridge is a 15-km super bridge, with an optional pedestrian/bicycle lane that will link Mindoro Island to the province of Batangas.

The bridge will cover an 8.5-km section from Mindoro Island to Verde Island and a 6.5-km stretch from Verde Island to Batangas over water with a depth of 10m to 300m.
